In order to provide our full range of services, AuditConfirmations may collect the following types of information:
Information you provide – When you sign up for an Auditor account or other feature that requires registration, AuditConfirmations asks for the following personal information: name, audit firm, title, email address, phone, password, time zone, and credit card information.
AuditConfirmations collects credit card information to enhance the user experience by reducing the time necessary to process confirmations. AuditConfirmations uses Authorize.Net to maintain credit cards on file and to process credit card transactions. Credit card information is maintained in encrypted form on secure servers by Authorize.Net.
Log information – AuditConfirmations uses server logs to record information that your browser sends whenever you visit the AuditConfirmations website, including your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request. This information is used to identify and track the progress of confirmations, and to maintain an audit trail for the purposes of identifying and ensuring authenticity of confirmation approvals.
Communications to us – Any e-mail or other communications sent to AuditConfirmations may be retained to respond to your requests and improve our services.
AuditConfirmations only processes information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, in addition to the following: providing audit confirmation services to users; auditing and analysis in order to maintain, protect, improve and develop services; and maintaining the technical functionality of our network and systems.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. AuditConfirmations will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent, and most such changes will be minor.
Should new services be developed in the future, this privacy policy will be revised to include such services. All users will be provided sufficient notice via e-mail of any material changes to the privacy policy.
Use of Third Party Vendors
AuditConfirmations processes information on third-party servers, provided by vendors for which extensive measures have been taken to ensure that the vendor complies with a strict privacy policy and terms of use. AuditConfirmations.com is hosted by a large, reputable hosting company that performs annual SAS 70 Type II audits.
Information Sharing
AuditConfirmations does not, for any reason, sell or share personal information with other companies or individuals outside of AuditConfirmations or its parent companies, unless required by law.
Should AuditConfirmations merge with another entity or sell all assets, notice will be provided before information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Information Security
AuditConfirmations takes information security very seriously, and taking appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of data is given the highest priority.
