In order to provide our full range of services, AuditConfirmations may collect the following types of information:
Information you provide – When you sign up for an Auditor account or other feature that requires registration, AuditConfirmations asks for the following personal information: name, audit firm, title, email address, phone, password, time zone, and credit card information.
AuditConfirmations collects credit card information to enhance the user experience by reducing the time necessary to process confirmations. AuditConfirmations uses Authorize.Net to maintain credit cards on file and to process credit card transactions. Credit card information is maintained in encrypted form on secure servers by Authorize.Net.
Log information – AuditConfirmations uses server logs to record information that your browser sends whenever you visit the AuditConfirmations website, including your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request. This information is used to identify and track the progress of confirmations, and to maintain an audit trail.
Communications to us – Any e-mail or other communications sent to AuditConfirmations may be retained to respond to your requests and improve our services.
Use of Third Party Vendors
AuditConfirmations takes information security very seriously, and taking appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of data is a priority. Internal measures taken to reduce information security risks include reviews of our data collection, third-party storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access. Furthermore, AuditConfirmations personnel regularly reviews independent internal control reviews performed by and on behalf of all third-party storage facilities.
Access to information is restricted only to employees and contractors of AuditConfirmations and its parent company. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
AuditConfirmation is not responsible for any harm that might arise resulting from the use of inaccurate personal data that was provided by any user. Individual users may be required to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests. AuditConfirmations may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort or risk jeopardizing the privacy of others.
